Sarah Clarke is a nutritionist with a special interest in weight management and paediatric nutrition. Sarah spent several years working in clinical practice and has been a Naturopathic Educator with Bioceuticals for more than three years. Sarah is extremely passionate about sharing her knowledge, experience, and passion for natural medicine through education and training.
Tracey is a Pharmacy Education Manager with 23 years’ experience in the natural medicine industry. Tracey has a passion for healthcare education at all levels and focuses on designing, developing, and delivering high-quality education programs that are the right program and experience for each learner. Tracey understands the pharmacy environment and what is needed to support your customers with natural medicines. Tracey is currently the Pharmacy Education Manager for the Blackmores Group, planning the online and face to face educational programs for Blackmores and BioCeuticals in Pharmacy.
Katy Johnson has worked in the pharmacy industry for over 10 years in a variety of different roles, beginning her career as a pharmacy assistant at 17 years old in rural NSW. Moving to Brisbane, Katy developed a strong interest in the dispensary and was offered the roles of Dispense Technician, Webster Packing and Dispensary Manager before undertaking Stock Controlling and Retail Management in the same store. An advocate for pharmacy assistants and the importance of their role, Katy encouraged versatility and a willingness to learn within her own team. In 2018, she worked as a pharmaceutical representative before taking a role as Workplace Trainer/Assessor role and more recently, Training Coordinator, at the Pharmacy Guild of Australia Queensland Branch, where she continues to support current and future pharmacy assistants with their training requirements.
Roger Kluth is Head of Operations for Gold Cross Products and Services and also a registered pharmacist. His lengthy career in pharmacy has seen him work with multiple pharmacy brands and organisations, both in Australia and the UK. Roger’s broad range of experience includes retail operations, professional services, category, buying, and management roles for Boots The Chemists in the UK, and Terry White Chemmart, Amcal, Discount Drug Stores and independent pharmacy groups in Australia. Roger’s experience in senior category, buying, and business management positions has provided significant exposure across retail and wholesale operations within the profession, giving him a unique set of skills while also enabling him to build strong and greatly valued relationships with colleagues and pharmacy professionals.
Kylie Neville is a Brisbane-based PDL Professional Officer. Kylie has been a practising pharmacist for more than 18 years, with experience in public and private hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy management, compounding and medicinal cannabis supply. In recent years, an interest in broadening her knowledge across a range of pharmacy environments led her to experience online pharmacy and IVF clinic practice. Kylie also enjoys working as a casual oral examiner for the Pharmacy Board of Australia. Her areas of interest include diabetes education, compounding, vaccination and expansion of scope of practice for pharmacists.
Lauren Scarman is a pharmacy assistant who has worked in the pharmacy industry for more than 16 years. Beginning as a junior pharmacy assistant at a busy metro shopping centre in Adelaide, Lauren was then given the opportunity to further her study in community pharmacy and completed a Certificate IV in community pharmacy. As a result of this study she was able to move through the ranks learning about all facets of community pharmacy – front of shop, supervising and team leading, stock control management, dispensary, medication packing and QCPP, to name a few. During her time in pharmacy Lauren also completed her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. While on maternity leave in 2017 and contemplating her future in pharmacy, Lauren applied for a trainer and assessor role position at the Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s SA branch. Lauren has now been in her Trainer and assessor role for over seven years. During her time at the Guild, Lauren has had the privilege of training and assessing a diverse cohort of students.
Bridget Totterman is a registered pharmacist and community pharmacy owner with over 20 years’ experience in pharmacy whole of business management including operations and frontline leadership. A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Bridget is also a member of the Queensland branch committee of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and was appointed to their National Board. In 2020, Bridget was awarded with the Bowl of Hygiea – QLD Pharmacist of the Year for outstanding leadership and change management. In addition to being a pharmacy owner, Bridget sits on various boards and is a project officer for the Queensland University of Technology Safe Prescribing and Quality Use of Medicines Program.
Lucy Walker has owned and operated TerryWhite Chemmart Goondiwindi, a rural pharmacy in western Queensland, for the past 10 years. TerryWhite Chemmart Goondiwindi was the 2017 Guild Pharmacy of the Year and continues to be an innovative community focused health destination. Lucy has a broad range of pharmacy experience, having worked in hospital pharmacy and in pharmacies in the UK, as well as academic experience and conducting home medicine reviews. Lucy is the Southwest Queensland representative for the Queensland Guild Branch Committee and sits on the advisory board of TerryWhite Chemmart. In 2018, Lucy was awarded a Churchill Fellowship which involved travelling around the world looking at innovative pharmacy practices to bring back to Australia. She is currently undertaking the Queensland full scope training with the hope of improving access to health services in her rural community.
Bec Coulson is a passionate and engaging Sales Coach and Trainer with 18 years’ experience working in the field across Queensland and New South Wales for Ego Pharmaceuticals. She is currently Ego’s Northern Region Field Coach. Bec is skilled in business development, consultative selling, account management, direct sales and sales presentations. Bec graduated from The University of Queensland with a Double Major in Psychology in 1999.
Dr Ian Harrison is the Eyecare Medical Manager at CSL Seqirus, where he is responsible for the medical component for the portfolio, which includes creating and implementing the medical strategy, education and training. Prior to joining CSL, Ian was the Scientific Communications and Clinical Trials Manger at Ego Pharmaceuticals. He has over 15 years’ experience in industry, research and academia and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology (with honours) from Monash University, and a PhD in Pharmacology also from Monash University.
Caysie Kelly is an NSW/ACT RTO Training Officer with The Pharmacy Guild of Australia. Caysie has a background encompassing six years of dedicated service in the pharmacy field and holds a Cert IV Community Pharmacy and a Cert IV Training, and assessment. Caysie believes that learning is not confined to the classroom or specific stages of life; it is a lifelong journey. Continuous education and training are essential for personal growth, adaptability to change, and remaining relevant in an evolving job market.
Penny Liddington is a learning and performance specialist and with extensive experience in pharmacy teams, pharmacy operations, frontline healthcare, education and the community pharmacy industry. Penny is passionate about the future of community pharmacy and is committed to supporting the wellbeing and performance of front-line pharmacy teams. Currently the Pharmacy Learning & Performance Specialist for Sigma Healthcare, Penny is a qualified teacher and educator by profession, who has previously worked with The Pharmacy Guild of Australia and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She also works as a dispensary assistant in community pharmacy.
Andrea Raftesath is a qualified naturopath with over 16 years of clinical experience. In addition to her clinical work, Andrea works with the Blackmores Group as a Naturopathic Educator. She is passionate about education and enjoys being able to share natural medicine information with integrative doctors, naturopaths, nutritionists, pharmacists, and pharmacy assistants.
Brianne Shephard's career in community pharmacy spans over two decades, marked by significant achievements and a commitment to excellence. Her pharmacies have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Local Business Awards Pharmacy of the Year (2017/2018) and the National Pharmacy of the Year (2017). In 2019, Brianne's dedication to the profession was further acknowledged when she received The Pharmacy Guild/Maxigesic National Pharmacy Assistant of the Year award. This accolade sparked her deep commitment to advocating for the evolution of the Pharmacy Assistant role within the industry. Currently, Brianne is channeling her passion into her role as the State Manager for NSW with the Independent Pharmacies of Australia Group. In this capacity, she collaborates with over 350 pharmacies and their teams, focusing on enhancing patient outcomes and advancing the quality of care within local communities.

Colby Diek has worked in the pharmacy industry for 20 years, starting her career in Hervey Bay before moving to Perth for 10 years then returning to her roots in Hervey Bay. During her career, Colby has worked in all aspects of pharmacy from cosmetics consultant, DAA technician, dispensary technician and manager, front of shop manager, business development manager, team leader and supervisor for Pharmacy Guild students completing their qualifications. Colby was awarded the national title of The Pharmacy Guild of Australia/Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year in 2023.
Samantha Harrison’s career in pharmacy spans over 20 years. During this time, she has worked in all areas of the pharmacy, with a focus on front of shop and retail management. Sam enjoys the problem-solving aspect of the pharmacy assistant role, which is finding solutions for customers, helping to educate them on their health, and encouraging them to make positive changes. Sam has attained a Cert IV in Community Pharmacy - Health stream plus the Dispensary Skill set, along with a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. She was the WA State Winner of the Pharmacy Assistant of the Year (PATY) Award in 2009 and a State Finalist again in 2022. Sam is passionate about her role as a workplace trainer/assessor and about empowering pharmacy assistants to understand the significance of their contribution to the industry in order to advocate for themselves in the workplace.
Throughout her career, Ruth Kirk-Garcia (BHSc. Nat) has developed a passion for creating solution-focused education that enables Healthcare Practitioners to deliver informed care to their communities. Ruth brings nearly 10 years of industry experience to her current role as Health Care Professional Education Officer with Metagenics, where she is a researcher, educator and content producer. Outside of her education role, Ruth is an experienced clinician, offering evidence-based care within a multi-modality fertility health group on Brisbane’s southside.
Shannon McKeever completed her Master of Pharmacy at Queens University, Belfast before enjoying rewarding roles as a pharmacist in both retail and hospital pharmacy settings. Following her move to industry, Shannon has worked across various therapeutic areas within the Medical Affairs team at CSL Seqirus to provide scientific support for healthcare professionals. As the Medical Manager for the Seqirus eyecare portfolio she relishes the opportunity to provide educational and clinical updates to healthcare professionals with an interest in dry eye.
Amit Saha has over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, with a career covering new product development, manufacturing, compliance (quality and regulatory) and strategic management. Amit is renowned for thinking outside of the box when it comes to finding a unique concept to innovate in a highly competitive set. Managing product presentation, content creation and training internal and external stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle have been a key focus of his career. Amit is also an AHPRA registered pharmacist with sound knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice, pharmacology, drug interaction and toxicology and is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
Bincy Thampi is the Medical & Scientific Affairs Lead at Haleon, bringing close to more than a decade of expertise in the medical affairs field. Her career spans leadership roles in both pharmaceutical and consumer health companies, with a focus on pain management, oral health, nutritionals and immunology. Bincy is deeply committed to the rigorous application of scientific evidence to ensure the quality use of medicines, with a keen interest in advancing therapeutic standards and improving patient care.
Alice Vanderpol is a pharmacy assistant who has worked in the pharmacy industry for 10 years, starting out in a small country pharmacy in Victoria before moving to a rural pharmacy in New South Wales, where she undertook a Dispensary skill set and Certificate 3 and 4 in Community Pharmacy Qualifications. During this time, Alice was fortunate to work alongside the first Medspro packing robot in her region, which further opened her eyes to the exciting, ever-changing world of pharmacy. In 2018, Alice was named the National Winner of the Pharmacy Assistant of Year Award, which opened many doors and saw her relocate to Queensland, where she is now a Workplace Trainer/Assessor for The Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s Queensland Branch. In the years that followed she has been a national judge for the PATY award and a judge for the Queensland Training awards. Education and training have always been an important part of Alice’s role as a pharmacy assistant, and she is pleased to now be able to invest her time in the education of other pharmacy assistants.
