Full Program released for Pharmacy Connect

Pharmacy Connect Convenor Kos Sclavos AM announced today that the full program for Pharmacy Connect has now been released. Pharmacy Connect, the yearly event for pharmacists, owners, executives, students, interns, and industry representatives, takes place at the Hyatt Regency Sydney from 5-7 September.

Mr Sclavos said this year’s theme is ‘connect today, shape tomorrow’ and that the program reveals the details for the two-and-a-half-day education program, including pre-conference workshops, a 70-stand trade exhibition, as well as a Welcome Reception and Cocktail Party.

“We’re incredibly excited about this year’s program,” said Mr Sclavos. “This year’s event caters to everyone and includes a pre-conference workshop on full scope of practice and harm minimisation, a women in leadership breakfast, clinical updates and business sessions.”

“Everyone I speak to is also very keen to be getting an update on the details for 8CPA,” said Mr Sclavos.

Mr Sclavos also said the speaking lineup at this year’s conference is particularly impressive. “We’ve once again got some very high-calibre speakers,” said Mr Sclavos, “financial journalist and commentator Effie Zahos has recently been added to the speaker lineup, and Australian Olympian Peter Bol will also be addressing attendees.”

“Ms Zahos has over 20 years experience helping Australians make the most of their money and has a
remarkable ability to make money matters simple. Effie will be speaking about the current state of the
economy, consumer sentiment around interest rates and cost of living pressure, and how this impacts
pharmacy.

“Peter Bol’s presentation ‘Running towards greatness – unleashing potential with Olympian Peter Bol’ will take pharmacists on an inspiring journey to understand the value of embracing challenges as opportunities for growth.

“Peter will be joining us fresh from competing at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and will delve into the mindset of a champion, offering practical strategies for cultivating mental toughness, setting ambitious goals and staying focused amidst distractions,” Mr Sclavos said.

Mr Sclavos also said that Early Bird registration pricing was still open until June 30.

“Early bird pricing is closing soon, but there’s still time for attendees to register and take advantage of the
discounts,” said Mr Sclavos.
