WORKSHOP 2: Harm Minimisation – getting community pharmacy involved

“Primum non Nocere” – we can borrow from the Hippocratic Oath the principle of “First, do no harm” when we consider the tenants of harm minimisation. As pharmacists we endeavour to improve health outcomes. Sometimes we can do this by avoiding hazardous drug use and the practices associated with acquiring and administering these drugs or habits.  This session will explore the use of licit and illicit drugs (and habits) and the mechanisms available to pharmacists to keep our community safe from vices such as smoking, gambling, alcohol consumption and prescription drug use.

When: 2.00pm – 5.15pm, Thursday 2 September
Where: Level 4, Hilton Sydney
Cost: $55 inc GST (includes afternoon tea)
